Deva cut

+ What is a Deva Cut?

A Deva Cut is a low tension visual haircut performed on dry naturally curly hair and then detailed after a wash and go styling. First time guests should choose the Deva Cut and wash and Go combo service. Returning guests whose shape is just being trimmed or tweaked can book this service alone if you do not require a finishing service.

+ What’s the difference between a Deva Cut and a Basic Trim (Touch Up)?

A basic trim is called a "Touch Up" and are reserved for current clients with existing shape designed during a previous service. A "touch-up" is included and listed in all styling/treatment options as a "Total Touch Up"
A Deva Cut is a technique of cutting curly hair which creates visual symmetry by taking into consideration density, elasticity, and shape. Your hair is shaped and refined when dry. In some cases, it is also revisited and refined after treatment.
A "Touch Up" is what we use to maintain your hair’s shape.

+ How should I prep my hair for a Deva Cut?

Hair should be worn DOWN, in its natural state and product free.

 APPOINTMENT FAQs

As first time guests, providing as much information about your hair and any perceivable challenges will help us with time estimates and preparation.
Consultations are strongly encouraged and are mandatory for Services. For your convenience, we offer Virtual Consultations via FaceTime or Zoom video.
If you choose not to book a consultation, we reserve the right to refuse all, or portions of your booked services due to unforeseen conflicts with the condition of your hair and your booked services.

BOOK A CONSULTATION

+ How are Weekend Appointments Different from Weekday Appointments?

We realize it’s hard to get in! Fridays are our attempt to service as many new guests as possible! So, because the appointments will take longer, we turn up a bit to keep you engaged! You can expect great customer service, champagne and wine, more fellowship, social media live streaming and of course healthy fabulous hair! As always, we appreciate your patience and patronage!

+ Can I bring friends?

No. Space is limited. It is best to show friends the finish product after your appointment.

+Can you guarantee my service time ?

Because every guest is different, we cannot guarantee service completion times. We will do our best to work diligently and efficiently to meet the time expectations.
Here is how you can help:
• Try your best to book appointment times when you have flexibility in your schedule so that we can take our time and provide consistent, quality service.
• Please arrive to your appointment on time.
• If you have a lot of hair, please mention it in the notes section when booking.
• Please remove previous style when applicable.
• If your hair is excessively tangled, please come with your hair detangled.
• If you know you require extra Process time or drying time please request it in your booking.

+ Can I add a service once I arrive for my appointment?

No. We want to be respectful of every client’s time.
Adding additional services at the time of your appointment could lengthen your appointment time and inconvenience other guests.
Please book all desired services and carefully review your service selection at the time of appointment booking to ensure enough time can be allotted to service you.

+ What is the cancellation policy?

Cancellation requires 72 hour notice, and guests must use the self service “cancel” feature on the Square booking site to cancel. Failure to comply will result in a 50% charge which may be higher during holidays.
